Youth & Family Ministry Programs
Children's Faith Formation (Kinder - 5th Grade)
Traditional catechetical formation
Wednesday 5:15-6:45pm
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (PreK - 6th Grade)
A Montessori-based approach to the religious formation where the deep bond between God and the child is nurtured
Sessions will be offered Mondays & Wednesdays 5:00-6:30pm Parents choose which day works best for their family
Sacrament Preparation (2nd Grade or higher)
To enroll, the child and parent must come for an interview to discern if they are ready to begin preparing and must have met the following: 1. The child must be Baptized 2. Must be at least 7 years of age and entering the second grade or higher 3. Completed one full year of Faith Formation or Catholic School Education prior to the Sacrament Preparation year and currently enrolled in Faith Formation or attend Notre Dame Catholic School 4. Know what sacraments they desire to receive 5. Know basic prayers - Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be 6. Attend Mass weekly and Holy Days of Obligation
EDGE (6th - 8th Grade)
a Catholic middle school youth ministry program that helps teens unleash who they were created to be, in Christ
Wednesday 5:15-6:45pm in the Youth Room
LIFE TEEN (9th - 12th Grade)
a Catholic movement in youth ministry that aims to strengthen students' Catholic identity, while rooting them firmly in Christ and in His Church
Wednesday 7:00-8:30pm in the Youth Room
High School Confirmation (10th, 11th or 12th Grade)
A transformative approach to evangelizing young people while accompanying them in their journey to becoming disciples
Wednesday 7:00-8:30 pm in the Social Center
High School Students may enroll in the Sacrament of Confirmation program when they have met the following: 1. The student must have received sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and Eucharist 2. Must be entering the tenth grade or higher 3. Have completed one full year of Life Teen (with good attendance) prior to the Confirmation year OR are currently enrolled at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic High School 4. Regularly attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation
