Boy Scout Troop 111 was founded in 1995 and can boast of over 60 Eagle Scouts that have come from the troop since that time. With an action packed Scout-run program, the troop enjoys year-round camping and a host of other outdoor activities available to us in the Texas Hill Country.
Mission Statement:
Boy Scout Troop 111 of Notre Dame Catholic Church exemplifies the principals established by the National Boy Scouts of America which promotes citizenship, character development, and physical fitness for boys and young men ages 11-17. Programs and activities revolve around the community and various outdoor settings year round. An environment is provided for the Scouts to develop self confidence, set and achieve goals, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and be exposed to positive role models.
As a proud ministry of the church, the Scouts and Scouters of the troop take seriously that part of the Scout Oath which states “Duty to God and country” and the Scout Law which includes “A Scout is Reverent”. Troop 111 is open to youth and adults regardless of religious preference and provides opportunities for the Scouts to enrich their faith in programs specific to their church affiliations.
