Sacred Heart is one of the parishes designated by Archbishop Gustavo to host a Holy Door as a sign of the Church's universal communion for the duration of the Jubilee.
A jubilee year is celebrated by the Church to mark an important anniversary or to highlight a particular theme in this case, the theme of Mercy. The Jubilee Year of Mercy is a special time for the Church, a time when the witness of believers might grow stronger and more effective. It will be celebrated so that the whole of the People of God can be involved in living this Holy Year as an extraordinary moment of grace and spiritual renewal.
