Sacrament Preparation

Preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist takes place on many levels.  In the home the children are first nurtured, educated and introduced to the traditions of the family and the faith community.  In their religion class and through special workshops and retreats they will strengthen their faith as they come to know Jesus' love more deeply.
 
Requirements to start preparation:

1. The child must be Baptized
2. Must be at least 7 years of age and entering the second grade or higher
3. Completed one full year of Faith Formation or Catholic School Education prior to the Sacrament Preparation year and currently enrolled in Faith Formation or attend Notre Dame Catholic School
4. Know what sacraments they desire to receive
5. Know basic prayers - Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be
6. Attend Mass weekly and Holy Days of Obligation
